Disclaimer
1. Professional Installation
While we strive for perfect execution, minor cosmetic wear (such as superficial scratches) is an inherent risk of the installation process and is not covered. However, if our team causes significant damage that affects the item's functionality or overall appearance, we will repair or replace it at no additional cost.
2. Wood Characteristics & Minor Scratches
Due to natural wood variations and the manufacturing process, minor surface scratches may occasionally occur and are not considered defects. If you are unsatisfied with a wooden component, please contact us within 7 days of receipt, and we will provide a free replacement board.
3. Self-Installation & Improper Use
We are not liable for any damages, structural instability, or injuries resulting from:
- Incorrect self-assembly or failure to follow provided instructions.
- Exceeding the specified weight capacities.
- Unintended use or placement in unsuitable environments.
4. Quality Claims & Dispute Resolution
To process a defect claim, we require high-resolution photos, a detailed description, and your order information.
- Inspections: We will inspect returned items to determine the cause of damage. If the issue is a manufacturing defect, our standard repair/replacement policy applies. If the damage was caused by improper self-installation or misuse, the claim will be denied.
- Disputes: We always aim to resolve issues through friendly negotiation. Should a dispute escalate, we will provide formal, objective inspection reports to assist in legal resolutions.
Customer Acknowledgement
Acceptance of Manufacturing Tolerances:
By purchasing, the customer acknowledges that furniture manufacturing involves processes where minor cosmetic variations are unavoidable. Superficial marks, such as minor scratches on concealed cutting edges, internal joints, or natural material variations, are considered standard manufacturing tolerances. The customer agrees that these do not constitute structural defects and do not qualify for a return or replacement.
Safe Assembly Environment:
The customer acknowledges that self-assembly involves physical labor and handling heavy components. It is entirely the customer’s responsibility to prepare a safe, well-lit, and hazard-free environment (e.g., keeping children and pets away) prior to and during installation. We assume no liability for personal injuries, property damage, or damage to the product itself sustained during the self-assembly process.
Responsibility for Environmental Layout & Usage:
The customer assumes full responsibility for determining the appropriate placement and spatial layout for the furniture within their home. We are not liable for any structural instability, property damage, or injury resulting from placing furniture on uneven flooring, in unsafe traffic pathways, or near environmental hazards. The customer agrees that damages caused by human error, unreasonable use, or modifying the product beyond its intended purpose are entirely their own responsibility.
Personal Safety & Wall Anchoring Acknowledgment:
The customer agrees that their personal safety, and the safety of their household, is strictly their own responsibility. For storage items, cabinets, and wardrobes, the customer acknowledges the critical importance of securely anchoring the furniture to the wall. By using the product, the customer assumes all liability for ensuring proper anti-tip measures are taken to prevent accidental tipping. We are legally and financially exempt from any injuries or damages resulting from the failure to secure the furniture properly.
Pre-Assembly Inspection & Surface Protection:
Before beginning assembly, customers are required to carefully unpack and visually inspect all panels and components for any physical damage. Please note: Due to continuous manufacturing updates and product improvements, minor variations in hardware may occur, and a printed parts list may not always be included. These variations do not affect the assembly process or structural integrity. Once assembly has begun, claims for pre-existing cosmetic flaws cannot be accepted. Assembly must be conducted on a clean, soft, and non-abrasive surface (such as a carpet, blanket, or cardboard) to prevent scratches to panels and edges.
Proper Tools & Assembly Technique:
We strongly recommend using manual screwdrivers. If power tools are used, they must be set to the lowest torque setting. Damage caused by over-tightening, stripping screws, or using high-torque impact drills is considered improper installation and is not covered. Do not fully tighten all screws until the entire unit is aligned.
Wall Anchoring & Fastener Notice:
In accordance with Canadian furniture safety guidelines, anti-tip restraint devices must be properly installed for all tall storage units, wardrobes, and cabinets. Please note that different wall materials (drywall, masonry, concrete, or wood studs) require specific types of anchoring hardware. The customer is responsible for ensuring the fasteners used are suitable for their specific wall construction.
Safe Handling & Moving of Assembled Furniture:
Never drag, push, or pull fully assembled furniture across floors, as this places severe stress on structural joints, damages legs, and may scratch flooring. Prior to moving, empty all contents and lift the furniture with at least two capable adults from the solid base, not by the top panels, doors, or decorative handles.
Indoor Environmental Conditions:
This furniture is designed strictly for indoor residential use within climate-controlled environments (ideal relative humidity between 35% and 55%). Avoid placing the product in direct sunlight, damp areas, or next to intense heat sources such as radiators, baseboard heaters, or air ducts, which can cause material warping, seam separation, or color fading.
Periodic Maintenance & Hardware Retightening:
With regular use and natural material expansion/contraction, hardware fittings may loosen over time. The customer is responsible for inspecting and periodically retightening all structural screws and drawer/door hardware (typically every 3–6 months) to maintain stability and safety.
Glass & Mirror Safety Notice:
For items featuring glass doors, shelves, or mirrors, exercise extreme care during handling and assembly. Avoid striking or resting heavy objects against glass surfaces and edges. Minor edge imperfections on concealed glass edges are normal manufacturing occurrences and do not compromise structural integrity.
